Founded in 1858 at Bethany College, in Bethany, W.Va., and now headquartered in Indianapolis, IN, Delta Tau Delta has 129 chapters and colonies in 39 states with a membership of more than 8,000 undergraduates and 120,000 living alumni.

The life blood of any Fraternity is the continual renewal of its undergraduate membership. The evolution of the collegiate experience requires our Fraternity to adapt and evolve as well. With that in mind, we are creating a new role focused on strategically energizing our undergraduate chapter and colony growth efforts.

The Assistant Director of Recruitment Support manages all activities related to recruitment support efforts for our existing chapters and colonies. This includes creating and executing a national recruitment support plan, as well as directly coaching staff, volunteers, and undergraduates on the Delta Tau Delta Growth system.

Reports to: Director of Growth  

Essential Duties:

  • Develop the Fraternity’s Chapter Recruitment Program. Ideally an engine to drive sustained recruitment mechanisms at all our member chapters
  • Provide support and training to chapters in need of recruitment support, as well as local and national volunteers
  • In consultation with the Director of Chapter Services, identify and coach chapters in need of additional growth and recruitment support.
  • Lead the effort to create recruitment education training to be implemented at chapter, regional and national programs
  • Assist in analyzing data to make informed decisions around the growth of chapters and the Fraternity
  • Provide recruitment support and training directly to new colony and new chapter
  • Train chapter leadership consultants on the Delta Tau Delta Growth System as well as how to coach chapters with this system
  • Serve as the contact person for any outside vendors assisting with recruitment support and recruitment programs
  • Collaborate with communications staff to create and deliver social media strategies for undergraduate chapters as well as a national program to drive awareness of the Fraternity to potential new members.
  • Create and share reports of undergraduate chapter’s recruitment progress with relevant stakeholders

Systems and Metrics:

  • Explore technical solutions to enhance the growth engine of the Fraternity
  • Create measurement systems to better understand results and create an environment of accountability and sustained success
  • Evaluate and continuously improve the recruitment aspect of the Fraternity’s online presence

Job Requirements: (Education, experience, knowledge, skills, overtime, travel, licenses, etc.)

  • Member of Delta Tau Delta preferred, membership in another fraternity/sorority required
  • Previous experience in growth related roles in Fraternity and Sorority Life strongly preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years relevant experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and facilitation abilities, curriculum/program development experience preferred.
  • Long-distance travel by car and airplane are required
  • 30-45% travel expected
  • Ability to multi-task while prioritizing deadlines and deliverables.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook

While performing the responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Recruitment Support, the employee is required to talk and hear.
